Part of Our Hearts

Madi sat alone in her room, she hadn't eaten for days, which was concerning Nikko and Gracie. "She's still not eating?" Gracie said.

"No," Nikko said, "She doesn't even want to leave her room. I don't know how to handle this..."

"She's your daughter, Nikko," Gracie replied, nudging him gently, "And I want you to figure this out for me. We can't have our daughter trying to starve herself like that."

Nikko walked up to her daughter's door and nudged it open, "Hey, what's going on?"

"I-I'm fine, Dad." Madi said, turning around, wearing a fake cheesy smile, "Ya see? Smiles!"

"Madison Grace..." Nikko said warmly, "I know you're not okay...."

"I swear, I am," Madi replied, "Why wouldn't I be?"

"That's for you to tell me, Madison Grace." Nikko said, pulling his daughter in close to him, as she started to break into tears, "You can tell me anything, okay?"

"Okay," Madi sobbed, "Th-These bullies kept on pestering Papyrus last week, so I told them to stop, and... And..." A tear rushed down her face, she was so out breath with her sobs.

"Madison Grace, honey, calm down..." Nikko said, "Just talk to me..."

"And the bullies started to throw me on the ground and called me worthless." Madi whimpered, "I told them to stop, but they didn't. They kept saying mean things to me."

"Oh Madi girl," Nikko chuckled, "Don't worry about them, you're beautiful, and it was such a big thing that you took up for your sister like that. We all love you, and you are priceless to us. Hatshepsut would be so depressed without you, Grover wouldn't have any tails to trip over, Molli's tummy would have more food in it, but her heart would be empty, and Papyrus, she needs you, who else would protect her like you do, Madi? Me and Mom love you with all of our hearts. You're great, and you shouldn't let anyone tell you differently."

Madi wiped her tears away, and smiled, wrapping her paws around her dad's leg
